Pumpkin

We’ve had our fair share of pumpkin spice lattes and PSLs, but it’s time for some new fall drinks to take over. Luckily, we found a few great ones that you can make at home.

Pumpkin Spice Cocktails you can make at home

You don’t have to be a Starbucks addict to enjoy a pumpkin spice latte, but if you want to get in on the action at home, try these recipes.

We recommend using canned pumpkin puree in your cocktails. It’s an easy way to add flavor and color without the hassle of steeping spices or adding garnishes. The pureed flesh gives drinks a smooth texture that won’t overpower other ingredients like fresh fruit juices.

Make your own pumpkin spice syrup by boiling equal parts water and sugar with cinnamon sticks for about 5 minutes; then strain out the spices before cooling everything down in an ice bath so it can be used later! That being said… go ahead and give these fall drinks a try while you’re at it.

Pumpkin Spice Martini

Pumpkin Martini

It’s the perfect drink for autumn, and it’s easy to make:

You can also use pumpkin pie-flavored vodka instead of regular vodka.

Pumpkin Ale Sangria

Sangria

Pumpkin Ale Sangria is the drink that will bring your fall party to life. With its subtle pumpkin flavor, it goes well with any fall meal or gathering. It’s easy to make and tastes better than any pumpkin pie you’ve ever had!

First, you’ll need a bottle of Pumpkin Ale. You can find this at your local liquor store or grocery store—it should be near other craft beers like Blue Moon or Sam Adams Oktoberfest. The next thing you’ll need is some fresh orange juice. Make sure it isn’t from concentrate because then it won’t taste as good!

Now it’s time for the fun part: adding ingredients! We used all natural ingredients from The Good Food Store here in Missoula—no preservatives or chemicals here! This was a huge hit with our friends, so I’m sure yours will be too!

  • 2 cup(s) Blue Moon or Sam Adams Oktoberfest with Orange Juice
  • 3 cup(s) apple cider
  • 1/2 cup(s) REAL pumpkin spice syrup
  • 1 bottle(s) Pinot Grigio
  • 2 apples
  • 2 pears

Pumpkin Mule

Pumpkin Mule

Start with a cup of water, a tablespoon of granulated sugar, and a cinnamon stick. Let that sit for 10 minutes or so, then strain into a container that you can put back in your fridge (or freezer). This is your cinnamon syrup!

Next comes the cocktail:

  • 1.5 oz pumpkin spice vodka (if it’s not already infused with pumpkin pie flavors)
  • 4 oz ginger beer
  • Lime wedge.

Shake with ice; serve over ice cubes in a Collins glass filled with more ice cubes. Top off with 2 oz of the cinnamon syrup and enjoy!

Pumpkin Whisky Sour

The Pumpkin Whiskey Sour is the pumpkin-flavored equivalent of a whiskey sour, and it’s everything you could want from a fall drink. Its rich sweetness and spicy kick will warm you up like nothing else on this list does.

Salted Caramel Apple Cocktail

To make this Salted Caramel Apple cocktail, you will need:

  • 1/2 oz maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 oz spiced rum
  • 3 1/2 oz spiced apple cider
  • 1 granny smith apple
  • Caramel sauce
  • Sea salt
  • Ice cubes

To serve: Fill a glass with crushed ice and pour in your drink. Add garnishes such as chocolate shavings or cinnamon sticks if desired.
